What is better than one day of running? TWO days of running! The Choice City Running Event in Civic Center Park Fort Collins has something for everyone. Kick off a run-filled weekend with the Jane Welzel Mountain Avenue Mile on Friday evening with 1-mile races for everyone including kids, middle & high school students, families, citizens, elite runners, wheelchair/pushrim athletes, walkers, strollers, and dogs! The race is a “faster than flat” slightly downhill point-to-point course on iconic Mountain Avenue. After running, cool your feet at Civic Center Park with live music, vendors, awards and a New Belgium beer garden!

Continue running strong the following day with the Human Race Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k races. All distances feature quintessential Fort Collins landmarks. The party continues in Civic Center Park with live music, vendors, a Snooze pancake breakfast, and a New Belgium beer garden!

If you’re feeling fast, test yourself in the Race the Trolley 5k challenge! Toe the line with Birney Car 21 and race to the finish, outrun the trolley and you will earn yourself special recognition and a “faster than the trolley” award!
