Due to a road reconstruction project in Cherry Creek State Park, the Chilly Cheeks series will be limited to a single event in 2024, held on 2/24/2024. The road was wiped-out during a May flood, essentially splitting the park into two halves for the entire summer season. The road construction has begun, and will be completed in time for our February 24th event!

The stand-alone Chilly Cheeks event will be held in the traditional duathlon format of Run-Bike-Run. Both runs will be 2.5 miles and the bike course will be 10.8 miles.

As always, we will provide a marked and marshaled course, fast & accurate chip timing, light refreshments including Jill’s famous banana chocolate chip bread, and some fun mid-winter competition in the heart of Denver.

4 mile run followed by a 10 mile bike ride

This low-cost, low-key series offers three run-bike events at Denver’s Cherry Creek State Park during the winter months. Each event is chip timed, and features a different format, covering approximately 4 miles of running and 10 miles of biking. Road bike and fat tire divisions are offered. Post race hot food & drinks provided. Series entrants receive a pair of Chilly Cheeks Sweat Pants!!! A 4-Mile Run-Only option is offered as well.
