Run to the Shrine

Join us on Saturday or Sunday for Run to the Shrine, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s annual fundraiser run/walk. This 4-mile casual run/walk winds through the Zoo and up to Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun, with giraffe, lions and elephants along the way. Enjoy stunning views of Colorado Springs below while ascending nearly 1,000 feet in elevation, before descending back down into the Zoo. Run to the Shrine is the ONLY time foot traffic is allowed on Shrine Road. Participants will start the ascent at their leisure, and there will be no official timing services.
