Leadville 100 Returns this weekend

107

The Leadville Trail 100 Run presented by La Sportiva kicks off on Saturday. After a year off, 681 athletes ranging in age from 19 to 78 years old, representing all 50 states and 13 countries, will descend upon Leadville for race weekend. The race kicks off at 4 a.m. on Saturday morning. The first finisher can be expected around 8:30 p.m. — Ryan Smith finished in 16 hours 33 minutes and 24 seconds in 2019.

The Awards Ceremony (at noon on Sunday)  and pre-race athlete meeting have been moved outdoors to the Lake County High School Football field as a COVID-19 precaution.

The legendary “Race Across The Sky” 100-mile run is where it all started back in 1983. One hundred miles of extreme Colorado Rockies terrain — from elevations of 9,200 to 12,600 feet. Learn more at: https://www.leadvilleraceseries.com/
