It was a beautiful Sunday morning for the the final race of the RunDenver Series – That Dam Run Half Marathon, 10K and 5K. Starting and finishing near Cherry Creek High School, the race take runners along the Cherry Creek Dam Road for a flat and fast route.
In all, close to 650 runners and walkers took part in the event.
In the half marathon, Matthiew Caldwell of Denver led 176 athletes to the finish in 1:19:14. Laura Peters of Denver was the top female in 1:41:13.
In the 10K, Billy Mertens of Louisville led 221 finishers in 34:50. Stacey Hendry of Arvada was the top female in 43:26.
Adam Rich of Colorado Springs completed a clean sweep, winning all five 5K’s in the series when he crossed the line in 16:04. Amy Armstrong of Evergreen was the first female in the 5K, running 20:41. 243 athletes finished the 5K.
