Libby James has been a competitive runner for more than 40 years and holds age-group American and world records in distances from the 5k to the half-marathon. She’s been a journalist for longer than she’s been a runner, has edited two lifestyle magazines, and currently freelances for the North Forty News in Fort Collins, Colorado. For several years who wrote a “running life” column for the Fort Collins Coloradoan. She is the author of White Shadow, historical fiction, two middle-grade novels, and a picture book for young children. She has a BA in English with honors from Ohio Wesleyan University and an MA in Western American Literature from Colorado State University.
