The Adams State University Men’s Cross Country team repeated their performance from a year ago and earned the 2013 NCAA Division II National Championship.
The Grizzlies won the top spot with an overall score of 54 points.
Junior, Tabor Stevens won the individual title with a time of 29:50.10.
Four more Grizzlies finished the 10k race in the top 30. Senior, Jovanny Godinez ran a time of 30:38.30 for a 10th place finish. Sophomore, Kevin Batt finished in 12th place after running the 10k course in 30:41.50. Sophomore, Kyle Masterson ran a time of 30:58.80 for 18th place. Senior, Naseem Haje finished in 30th place with a time of 31:09.00.
All seven runners for the Grizzlies finished with times in the top 60. Sophomore, Julian Florez finished with a time of 31:24.50. Freshman, Chandler Reid ran the course in 31:32.10.
Stevens, Godinez, Batt, Masterson, and Haje all earned All-American selections.
The Grizzlies have now won five of the past six national championships.

Grizzly Women Earn Second Place at National Championships
The Adams State University Women’s Cross Country team earned second place at the 2013 NCAA Division II National Championships.
The Grizzlies finished with 91 points overall.
Junior, Lauren Martin led the way with her sixth place finish after running the 6k course in 21:14.70.
Four more Grizzlies finished in the top 50.
Freshman, Maura O’Brien finished in 15th place with a time 21:29.60. Senior, Kelly Lamb ran a time of 21:36.80 for 20th place. Junior, Jesse Brunett completed the course in 21:43.70 for 32nd place. Senior, Alyssa Selve finished in 42nd place with a time of 21:50.90.
Freshman, Jenna Thurman finished with a time in the top 40 as she ran the course in 21:57.30. Sophomore, Melissa Roberts finished with a time of 23:13.10.
Martin, O’Brien, Lamb, and Brunett earned All-American selections.
