The Blue Sky Marathon in Fort Collins was originally scheduled for mid October but had to be postponed due to the fires near the race location. The postponed race took place on November 14th with 127 intreped souls taking to the trails of Horsetooth Mountain Park and Devil’s Backbone Open Space.

The new date provided a unique experience as weather moved in and out all day long. With half a dozen snow squalls and wind gusts up to 75 MPH, the race had incredible 98% finish rate!

Boulder’s Jackson Brill and Tyler Fox of Fort Washakie, WI ran neck and neck for the entire race, with Brill pulling away at the end to win in 3:10:10. Fox finished two minutes later with Denver’s Michael Bolt taking third in 3:34:23.

Amanda Ax of Loveland took top honors in the female division, finishing fifth overall in 4:08:11. Becky Handee of Longmont and Meghan Spieker of Severance rounded out the podium.
