In a post on the race website, organizers of the 2020 Colorado Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K stated that they will not be hosting an in-person event in Fort Collins on May 3rd as originally planned.
Due to the challenges we’ve been faced with because of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have decided there will not be an in-person race on Sunday, May 3, 2020. We have been closely following the recent developments from the local, state, and national health agencies regarding COVID-19. Given the guidance of those agencies, it is not safe to host an in-person race on May 3, 2020. The virtual race will always be an option for those registered and we are also working with local permitting agencies to see if it’s POSSIBLE to postpone the race to a later date in 2020 but this is not a sure thing. While we do not have final answers right now, we want you to know that we are working on some options and that there will not be an in-person race on May 3rd, 2020.

The event organizers say they will make a final decision on Monday, March 23 on whether or not the race will be postponed to a later date or cancelled and switched to a virtual only event for 2020.
Because of the nature of this event, multiple municipalities and permitting agencies need to be communicated with for a postponed event to happen.
