Rocky Mountain Road Runners
“Everything a running club should be is reflected in the 500-member Rocky Mountain Road Runners” is not a quote we came up with, but could have. Instead, this is how RMRR is described in the June 2003 issue of Runner’s World. The Rocky Mountain Road Runners is a non-profit, volunteer organization for runners and walkers in the Denver Metro area. The club has been around for more than 3 decades with roots going back to the 1950’s.
The club is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. We now have over 650 members ranging in age from 1 year to 80, and in ability from sub 6:00 pace to 15:00+. The RMRR is a great way to improve your running/race-walking, meet new friends, and have fun.
Membership is $30 for individuals, $40 for couples and families, and $10 for volunteer members. (Note that the volunteer membership does not include entry into the monthly Trophy Series races.)

Did you know that your RMRR membership is worth $140/year?
That’s a great return on the $30/year cost of a single membership in RMRR.
It’s a low-ball estimate for many members. We assumed you take advantage of the following:
-12 trophy series race entries = $60
-The 15% discount at our generous sponsors (Runner’s Roost, Boulder Running Company, Two Feet To Go , Body Mecca) is based on what you buy. Assuming you purchase two pairs of shoes that cost $80, you’ll save $24.
-The club is providing for FREE a 1 year subscription to Colorado Runner for each member household. That’s a $15 value.
-Attending any of our races means you’re eligible for the raffle. If you win twice, you’ll win prizes worth $20.
-Last, to advertise our wonderful club, we provide FREE singlets to anyone who has run 5 club races + 5 outside races. Value = $20.
These items total $139. You also benefit from reduced entry fees at the Marathon Training Series and the Jazz98 Labor Day Race in the City. And, you’re eligible for a free dinner, great gear awards, and free memberships if you volunteer.
The RMRR membership is even better this year with the addition of Colorado Runner Magazine. Now that you know just how much your RMRR membership is worth. Use those benefits!
