The IMS Arizona Marathon

Save the Date! The Inaugural Arizona Marathon, 1/2 Marathon & Marathon Relay is an event you don’t want to miss! This race takes runners, walkers & joggers through five West Valley cities noted for ever increasing culture, professional sports venues, shopping adventures, and fine family living.
This event is centrally located in Glendale's gorgeous Westgate City Center, the valley's premiere mixed use development, featuring a Bellagio style water feature, unique restaurants, retail and entertainment, and a newly launched high end residential condo community.
Tentative Route:
The course begins at the University of Phoenix Stadium, home of Arizona Cardinals AND site of Super Bowl XLII in 2008. Once past the starting line, runners will have a view of the Jobing.com Arena - home of the NHL Phoenix Coyotes! Runners then pass Luke Air Force Base, home of the F-16 Fighting Falcons. From there the course takes competitors to Litchfield Park, a gorgeous family community hosting 3 golf courses, an Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa, and the luxurious Wigwam Resort. The course continues through the great city of Goodyear, a Major League Baseball spring training home for both the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds, and then on to Avondale, an awesome town famous for hosting NASCAR races at the Phoenix International Raceway. The race ends with a loop around that brings participants back to Westgate Center. The course will be a Boston Marathon qualifier.
