Heart and Sole Half Marathon & 10K (Formally Indoan Summer Half)

The Heart and Sole Half Marathon will be hosted by the Boulder Running Company in order to provide a quality yet reasonable alternative to other expensive half marathon races. The rising costs of registration fees for half marathons can limit participation in these tough economic times. The Boulder Running Company is taking this opportunity to offer an affordable race for runners who want to race or run for fun, but don't want to spend a lot. The BRC wants to make sure that running is supported, not discouraged, in these hard times.

The Indian Summer Half Marathon, which is held at the Boulder Reservoir, will raise money to benefit the City of Boulder Parks & Recreation EXPAND program and the Orphans of AIDS Trust Fund foundation. The EXPAND program helps people with disabilities improve and gain new recreation and leisure skills that will enhance their overall quality of life. The Orphans of AIDS Trust Foundation (OATF) provides for the care of the children in South Africa orphaned as a result of AIDS.

Entry Fees
Includes Brooks technical race shirt, Avery Brewing Company pint glass, aid stations on course with Eldorado Natural Spring Water, post-race food, beer tent, finishers’ medals and free entry to the Res.
Individual: $50 advance; $60 race day
Team: $90 advance; $100 race day

Awards
Overall Male/Female: $500
Team Award: $1000 (Winners ineligible for other awards)
Master’s Winners: $250
Age Group Winners: $50
Other age group prizes in divisions of 5 year increments
All runners receive finishers’ medals!

Team Challenge: Teams of one male and one female. Grand prize of $1000 goes to the team with the fastest cumulative time.

Donor Dash 5K

Donor Alliance's signature event, the 10th Annual Donor Dash is for runners, walkers and the entire family to honor the lives of organ and tissue donors, celebrate the lives of organ and tissue recipients and recognize those waiting for a lifesaving transplant. Donor Dash will take place on Sunday, July 18, 2010 in Denver's historic Washington Park. Honor A Loved One
We invite you to honor an organ and/or tissue donor, recipient or person waiting to receive a transplant by submitting his/her name to be placed on the back of the Donor Dash 2009 T-shirt. To submit your name, or that of a loved one, please enter the name as you would like it to appear on the T-shirt in the following registration form. All names must be submitted NO LATER THAN May 4, 2009 to be included on the 2009 T-shirt.

Donate Life Garden
Purchase a 2'x2' memorial sign with a photograph and message (15 words or less) to be placed in the Donate Life Garden in Wash Park on race day. Your participation will inspire others to DONATE LIFE by registering to be an organ and tissue donor, saving the lives of those currently awaiting for lifesaving transplant. All orders must be received NO LATER THAN June 12, 2009. For information, or to order a sign, please indicate your interest in the registration form and you will be contacted.

The Most Fun Had At 9000 Feet!

Organized by The Boulder Running Company, the 10th annual Joe Colton's Off Road Run offers scenic races through the beautiful mountain community of Rollinsville, Colorado. Your choice of a 5, 10 or 15 mile course will start you at 9,000 feet and follow dirt roads along the beautiful and scenic Continental Divide. The course is challenging with hills, high country beauty and awesome views of the Continental Divide. Great training for the Heart & Soul Half Marathon! Kids and families are encouraged to participate in the 1 mile Family Fun Run. Be sure to stay for the after race party!

Cash prizes for overall winners in the 5, 10 and 15 mile races. Proceeds from Joe Colton's Off Road Run benefit alternative programs for the mountain communities.

Boulder County 4 Race Series
The Joe Colton's Off Road Run is part of the exciting Boulder County 4 Race Series including the Longmont Sunrise Stampede, Joe Colton's Off Road Run, Lyons River Run 5K and the Neder-Nederland. Competing in these races makes you eligible for one of a series of fantastic prizes. The more you compete, the more your name is entered to win!

Strides for Epilepsy 5K will bring together 2,500 participants and volunteers in the true spirit of community. "Colorado's toughest 6-mile road race".

The San Juan Mountain Runners present the 35th Annual Black Canyon Ascent. This is a tough 6-mile road race starting at an elevation of 6500' climbing almost 2000' to the rim of the Black Canyon. Beautiful vistas and scenic surroundings are the hallmark of this event. After the race, stay and enjoy the spectacular Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.

The paved, scenic course starts 7 miles east of Montrose, CO at the junction of CO Hwy 347 and US Hwy 550, and steadily climbs almost 2,000' up to the National Park. Colorado Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K

The Colorado Marathon course runs down the Scenic Poudre River Canyon for the first 17+ miles, starting at Steven's Gulch Day Use Area. The course takes a right turn at the intersection of the Canyon road (highway 14) and highway 287, following on the right shoulder of 287 proceeding south to County Road 54G, heading through the City of Laporte to Cache La Poudre Junior High, turning on to the Poudre West Bike Trail that runs along the west end and south side of the school, crossing under Overland Trail Road and proceeding east on the bike trail to Linden Street, turning southwest and finishing at the Old Town Plaza at the intersection of Linden and Walnut.

The Student Bar Association of the Sturm College of Law presents the return of its annual 5k run/walk. This year the 5k benefits the Stephanie E. Boruta Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund and the University of Denver Loan Repayment Assistance Program for graduates entering the field of public interest law.

The Sturm College of Law has an excellent public interest law program and encourages its students to give back through volunteerism and public service. To encourage this commitment among current and past DU students, the student body Senate has created the Race Judicata, a fundraising event to help those who choose to practice public interest law. All funds raised will benefit student endowed scholarship funds at DU Law, including the Stephanie E. Boruta Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund.
